Right off the bat, the opening scene sets the tone for what is to come in this series. There is a dark satanic vibe that is embedded within the depth of the story, that will be explored as the series progresses.
In this episode, we get a little taste of some kind of satanic ritual with question marks surrounding it. It’s followed by the lighter side of the story. The setting is a school with a colorful cast of characters, ranging from students to a nurse. We get a feeling who’s the good guys/ladies and bad guys/ladies pretty clearly. Our protagonist is Taki Minase, a student with secrets and a strong desire to fuck.
A decent amount of character development is build within this episode. It will help you grow comfortable with some people and question others.
The sex is great, as they have a variety of positions in just this one episode. The animations are very detailed and ahead of their time.
They seem perfectly paced too, as you won’t be getting impatient that there isn’t enough sex.
I actually saved inputting something in the story section, as it’s related to the sex, but I won’t spoil it. For those who already watched the first episode, that ‘transformation’ is a shocker.
One last thing, the sex is uncensored, which is fantastic about it.
English Dub – My biggest criticism so far is the voices used in this series for the english dub. I get that it might have suffered due to budget, but some of these choices are super bad. Some of the hot female students, like Kurumi Imari sound like senior citizens. It kills some of that hotness about them, nevermind the believability and immersion of everything going on.
In terms of the dialogue, the characters are very blunt and to the point, especially while they are fucking. It’s a little unnatural the way it comes across, combine that with the voice acting, and it all sounds a bit cheesy.
However, the music is very good and captures the atmosphere and situations perfectly.
Watching the first episode is very entertaining both from a story standpoint and the sex. The only main issue is the voices, but you can overlook it because everything else is top notch.
